John Wake

John obtained his Bronze Medallion in 1973 and has held many positions in the Surf Life Saving movement over the years including:

• Branch Scrutineer;
• Official;
• Involvement with the Beach to Bush Program;
• Section Referee Australia Titles for Scrutineering, also the World Titles ( ILS );

John’s community service awards also include:

• Medal of Valour (1979) by Lions International for a rescue at the Bellinger River Bar;
• Ministerial Community Service Award 1990 for a rescue at Diggers Beach.

John is also a Life Member of the Coffs Harbour SLSC, the SLS North Coast Branch and SLSNSW.
