Over 130 competitors hit the greens for the Annual Woopi Boaties Golf Day on the Labour Day holiday. Teams battled throughout the day in a four ball ambrose competition.

As the major fundraiser for the Boat Section, all money raised will allow our crews to repair and purchase equipment and enter local and national Surf Boat events this surf season. Training and competing in Surf Boats allows patrolling members to maintain fitness, strength and improve surf knowledge and skills to enhance the ability of members to perform rescues.

The Woopi Silver Salties ensured an enjoyable day was had by all by volunteering their time to cook and serve a BBQ lunch to all of the keen golfers. We had a huge response from the local businesses with donations of prizes, vouchers and services. Many thanks to all those involved.

Congratulations to the successful golfers!
