This was held at Sawtell on 11th August. The attendance was good with some lively discussion.
TAFs were given the latest news on all thing’s education, practical assessment of HLTAID009 (CPR/Resuscitation) was done with assessment only for HLTAID011 (First Aid) to be done on an individual basis as needed by conclusion of the year.
After lunch the new IRB skills were explained by Nicole and Damien, discussed, then demonstrated both on dry land and in the water. Some changes have been made to the methods previously used and on the whole after much criticism, the TAFs were prepared to give it a go.
For those SMBM holders there will be upskilling after mid-September to come into line with the Silver Medallion Patrol captains Certificate.
Skills Maintenance- SLSNSW have placed online the 2024 requirements for Skills Maintenance.
Education SOPs have been updated and are online, also on the SLSNSW website.
Hopefully we will all have a great 2024 -25 season.
