Red Rock Corindi SLSC was founded in December 1991, after the community prompted response to the tragic drowning of father and son Gary and Terry Wall, at Red Rock on the 31 January 1988. The club is now well established in the community and provides safe swimming areas over the patrol season to locals and the many visitors that come to enjoy this beautiful town.

Red Rock SLSC honored founding, past and present members with a delightful afternoon celebration at the club on Saturday 4th December. Our wonderful Secretary, Anna Clark, supported our esteemed President, Wayne Scott with the officiating of the event.  Thanks goes to our Sponsors Costa Group who also supplied berries to those who attended on the day, the Red Rock Bowling Club for catering, and Rebecca Hansen from Brown Brothers.  The Club was also acknowledged by both State and Federal parliament for the commitment to supporting the local community.   We also thank North Coast Branch and State NSW SLSC representatives for attending the day.

Refreshments and conversation flowed into the early evening. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet past members and soak in the oral history of the club.

RRCSLSC would like to thank everyone who attended and all who made the evening such a success.

Highlighted below is the official Building Dedication:

Red Rock Corindi Surf Life Saving Club officially received approval to establish on 4th of December 1991.  This was largely due to the efforts of Iriene Scott and Olive Boundy who fought for many years to establish a club after the tragic drowning of Garry Wall and his son Terry.

This building is dedicated to all Surf Lifesaving members past, present and future. As volunteers, lifesavers give up their time willingly to keep the public safe and support the community.
